Excellent day long comfort from
the office to the casual party, this shoe has subtle
adjustment elastic across the instep that give the right
degree of breathing through the day. The dressy look is
created by a footbed design that looks higher than it really
is. They look like they'd be pretty comfy and still dressy,
but the back of the shoes wears through my nylons and leaves
my heels bloody. I plan to put foam pads in the heels. Hope
that helps. My husband called them "Dutch" shoes because the
toes are a bit tipped up from the sole and look like the
silhouette of little wooden shoes. I love their cute style and
super cushioned insole. I definitely agree that they make feet
look smaller. (I'm a 9 1/2 Wide) However, I could feel my toes
touching inside. Even though the shoe fits at the widest part
of my foot, the last three of my toes get pinched with long
term wear. (Notice the sharp curve of the toebox.) I wear
these only when I know I won't have to walk in them a long
time! You can wear
these shoes the very first time all day long. No blisters or
pinching. Great shoes for people that care about their feet. I
find all Sofft and related Softspot shoes extremely
comfortable shoes that don't need breaking in, including the
Presley shoes. The only thing different about these shoes is
that I needed to get a half a size larger than I normally get
as this particular style seemed to fit me snugger than other
Sofft/Softspot shoes. |
