Ah - immediate comfort when
slipping them on. I wear a 7N, and my toe hit the end, so I'm
going to exchange for a longer size. This is the only pair of
7s that have ever done this for me, so I'm thinking they run a
tad short. If you're normally between sizes, go long! Because
this shoe has a flared shape at the toe, it feels slightly
short and slightly wide in the narrow width, but not so much
that it really varies from a standard size. It is, however a
very comfortable and durable shoe. Looks nicer than most
walking shoes. I purchased this after a hip replacement, and
it provides the necessary support without looking clunky. My
orthopedic surgeon approved this purchase. I ordered 5 pairs
of shoes when I bought these, but these were by far the most
comfortable and so were the only ones I kept. They are casual
but perfect to wear with slacks. The adjustable strap lets me
snug up over the instep, but the wide toe box fits my wide
feet perfectly. At the same time, the heel fits snugly- a good
thing! My manager owns several pairs of these shoes (and
doesn't even mind that I bought some too).
I needed shoes for student
teaching...I have narrow feet and shoe buying is usually a
nightmare since most places don't have a good selection in
narrow widths. I love my new shoes! Bought two pair (in black
and brown) and I'm comfortable all day! I have many pairs of
Softspots. These are just the right shoe height for me and my
3/4 length orthotics work perfect in them. They look just fine
with slacks and could be ok with a casual skirt. I do wish
they didn't have the white stitching, especially on the black
ones as others have said, but no one should be discouraged
from buying any of them anyway. I have a high arch and with
the orthotics the velcro strap is ok for me. It might be a
good idea for them to make the strap just a little longer for
some people it seems, but for me the ease of putting them on
is so much easier than struggling with buckles which are
usually placed in an awkward spot to get to. |
